Covid-19

Covid-19 has presented many challenges to healthcare and the wider community. We appreciate the considerable efforts patients have made to keep themselves and staff safe. Infection rates are reduced however as of January 2024 there has been a resurgence and continued vigilance continues to be necessary to protect everyone.

Patients are asked to telephone the practice if possible rather than attending in person for a query so as to reduce footfall.

If you have respiratory symptoms and or are acutely unwell and wish to attend the practice you can help reduce cross infection by:

  • Undertaking a home Covid antigen test, and if positive staying at home and telephoning us if you need advice

  • Wearing a mask (if you have respiratory symptoms even if antigen test negative)

  • Using alcohol gel on arrival

  • Keeping your distance in the waiting room or waiting outside and alerting the staff by telephone of your arrival.

So please remember: If you are unwell with symptoms of Covid-19 such as cough, temperature, loss of taste or any flu-like symptoms please do not attend in person, instead ring first. (021) 4395754

We continue to participate in the adult Covid-19 booster vaccination programme and can be administered with flu vaccine if wished. An appointment can be booked with the nurses at a time that suits you.
